We eat foods prepared by anyone, pretty much anywhere.
That wonderful steak, brown and appetizing, could have a history of falling on the floor, being picked up and slapped back onto the plate.
What about the worker with the bad head cold, who is sneezing and coughing over everything and never washing a hand?
How about the people at table three who are so rude that the waitress totally dogs the food out before bringing it to them?
A Tip to Remember: If you have an eating-out lifestyle, always be genuinely kind to the workers. Your life is literally in their hands.
Okay, moving on.
Aside from the cleanliness aspect of eating out, there's also food content to worry about.
If you occasionally suffer from food allergies, you know what I mean. Here's a bit of my story:
With the onslaught of GMOs--not to mention food additives, preservatives, and pesticides, our bodies are justified in reacting to strange and suspect radicals invading it.
Our bodies have more defense mechanisms than you and I can imagine.
What we refer to as a "food allergy" is simply our body's way of resisting dangerous and unknown substances i.e. certain preservatives and food colorings, from which other people may not show any signs of irritation.
Nevertheless, you can rest assured that a constant pileup of these toxins in the body will result in serious illness. If you're like me, you have already experienced some strange symptoms that got you thinking that maybe you have some type of cancer.
90% of our food intake is either processed, pre-packaged or prepared by someone else. And it's not the best foods.
Nobody in my circle regularly pays $200 for a dinner for two. Therefore, we have to at least care enough about our bodies to put the best we can afford in them.
And that will mean learning to grow your own vegetables, which means "work" in a time when fast-food joints have allowed us to be lazy when it comes to feeding our families.
So again, how safe is it to eat the food at some of your favorite spots, or have you even thought about it?

If you occasionally suffer from food allergies, you know what I mean. Here's a bit of my story:
It's not easy trying to identify what causes you to experience certain symptoms that we so easily equate with "getting old." I don't like using the word "old" to reference my state in life.
What do you do with your old stuff when you do spring cleaning? You either give it away or throw it away. Neither of those scenarios represent my life.
On the subject of strange symptoms, I found myself sporatically experiencing them so I started monitoring myself and keeping thorough journals of what I ate just before and what symptom came thereafter.
After compiling this, I then began researching what was in the foods I ate, which happened to be from a can. Enough said.
I'm not a big fan of eating out like I once was--and even then, it was more like once a month. However, when I did eat out, I would notice a symptom here and there.
So after thorough self-monitoring, research and making necessary changes, I never eat out anymore...because I lose control over what I'm eating.
This is not a knock against eating out. I'm simply sharing how I took control of my life and started on the path to regaining my health. Which wasn't easy by the way.
I just knew I had to do it or I would spend the rest of my life enslaved to a self-imposed disease.
With the onslaught of GMOs--not to mention food additives, preservatives, and pesticides, our bodies are justified in reacting to strange and suspect radicals invading it.
When a stranger comes to your house you don't readily trust and invite them into your space. You stop them from going any further and possibly doing you harm. Well, the same rule applies to your body's fearful and wonderful function.
